2 wks!!!

Wow! Time is flying by! It seems like we waited so long to meet our little girl and now its hard to believe that 2 wks have gone by already. Chastity seems to be growing so much! She loves to be cuddled and close to mama. I am quickly finding out how much a little one changes things. What was once an easy trip to town can now prove to be a slight chore; unless she decides to spend that time sleeping. Makes all the difference! She has decided that her carseat is not a great place to be and can be very vocal in letting me know about it. All in all, she is a wonderful baby and very much loved!

Addition to post

Just to let you know an interesting tidbit of info --the blue dress Chastity is wearing was actually made for me when I was a baby by Andy's mom!
Mom is updating this since I'm not out and about and we have to go somewhere else to get online. Chastity and I are doing fine-so is Andy! He loves his little girl pretty well. I' m feeling pretty good but, I found out how much I DO need to rest and just take care of the baby. Mom keeps pounding that into me. Chastity is smiling alot and cooing at us- she's so cute to watch. She definately likes to be cuddled. She much prefers being next to us than in her bassinet- or any where else for that matter. Mom says just to enjoy it all- it will pass all too soon.
Aunt Esther Miller , Aunt Sheryl Dyer and Grandma "Wibble" got her some very cute outfits and things when they were in Branson. I don't think she'll need much for awhile.
Our little munchkin is 1 week old today! How time flies.
We'll try to keep this updated in a reasonable time. Thanks for all the nice comments!

Welcome Chastity Ruth!!!!

Chastity Ruth Heintzelman has finally made her appearance into this world!
Time of birth: 6:06am Thurs
Weight: 9lbs 11.6oz
Length: 20 1/2 in.

After 11 long HARD hrs of labor, a little over 2 hrs of pushing and NO pain meds, we finally had a beautiful little girl. She is doing wonderful and already extremely alert!
My dream was to have a natural birth at the birth center, but due to an ultrasound showing my amnio fluids to be only 2cm i was forced to deliver in the hospital. We arrived at the hospital at 3:30pm, admitted, started on pitocin at 4:30pm then waited for it to do its thing. Let me tell ya, i think it worked overtime on me! Once contractions started there was no relief for this momma! I couldn't have done it on my own with no meds if it hadn't been for Andy, mom and a good friend there to help me through the extreme pain. I'm sure i bit their heads off more than once with my demands, but thank goodness they stuck it out!!! All of my contractions were in my hips. What a killer!
Home is sounding more wonderful with each passing moment! If everything is still going well by tomorrow then we will be on our way. My mom is heading for home and her sweetie on Sunday. Her and her hubby will be celebrating their 25th ann. on the 17th. They have had a cabin reserved for a few days to celebrate so in a another day i will have to say goodbye for a while:(

Patience???

Patience was never a strong point for me and lately its been even worse! I guess i have no choice but to exerc AAise some of that yucky stuff! Today is my second due date. The first obviously didn't agree with baby and by the looks of things, this one may not either. O well! He/she has to face the world sooner or later.
My mom is planning on waiting it out here with me. I am so grateful for that. She has been a great help.
I am hoping this will be my last week of searching for something to fit! I realize my figure will take a bit to return, but at least i wont have a HUGE belly to try to cover! AAHH, such as life is!
