Baby?????

Sorry! No news as of yet. Just had an appointment this morning; still dilated 2 and 50% effaced. The one good thing, is that baby has moved down some more and is now a -1/0 station. Baby likes to hang out on the left side of belly so now my job is to try to get him/her to shift more towards the center. Looks very odd at times; like i have a huge growth on the left side of my belly. Midwife suggested hanging over a birth ball, doing squats and crawling around the house. My mom thinks this is great! I can see it already; "what are you doing up, get back on your knees"! I have a feeling Andy and mom are going to have great fun at my expense. What fun!!! Hopefully baby will get with the program and make his/her appearance this weekend.

The picture is of a very pregnant lady in need of a quick boost of energy! OJ!!!!

Still waiting!

Yes, thats right! We're still waiting for baby to decide to make his/her arrival. He/she has been doing a wonderful job of teasing us all! As of yesterday morning, i am dilated 2, 50% effaced and baby's head is -2 in station. Progress is being made, but ever so slowly! I am trying to be a patient mommy, but its starting to get hard! Andy is so excited to meet this little bundle. Its so sweet! I cant wait to see his face when he holds his baby for the first time.
My mom flew down last thursday to be here for baby's arrival. Looks like we all had our timing off, but she's been a great help and its been wonderful having around.
Pregnancy has been a breeze for me thus far and I'm doing my best to keep a positive mindset about birthing. If everything goes as well as the pregnancy has been, then I shouldn't have one problem. Thats what we're hoping and praying for!

1 down 9 to go!

At my last appointment (thursday) the midwife checked my cervix and i was dialated 1 whole cm!!! YAY!! Not sure if she will check me again this thurday, but if she does i wont be suprised if i have progressed even more. Things are definitely winding down! The number one question is when and will my mom be able to make it or not. I really hope she can, but theres a big possibility she will have to wait til after the baby is born. We shall see!

Ready and waiting!

The baby's room is finally together and waiting for baby's arrival! There are still a few details that need to be taken care of such as, chair rail painted and put up and closet door to be painted. Other than than, it is as ready as its gonna get!Our makeshift changing station. To save a little money we decided to accept this dresser which was offered to us for nothing! It actually works out very well; giving me plenty of drawer space and just the right height for changing baby. The shelf above was a gift from Andy's family. His mom bought the baskets and made cute liners for them.
