Sneak peek!

I am in the process of giving my bedroom a makeover and my dear mother is getting rather "impatient" to see some results!!!! are a few pictures to let you in on what i've been working on. Keep in mind, I am far from being finished; so what you see doesn't necessarily mean it will stay that way! I am hoping to make real progress by this weekend. We shall see! Enjoy!
By the never hurts to leave a comment! I'd love to hear what you think!

These candelabras were a freebie from a yard sale....a little spray paint and they are as good as new! They  now grace the top of my dresser

This is definitely lacking the finishing touches, but here it it anyways!  It started out as a plate holder, but i thought it would be cute holding picture frames instead! A little spray paint does wonders!

this little guy sits on a shelf in a corner cabinet

Still not sure what to do with the mirror yet....
One of my favorite accents.....found the pedestal in the clearance section at Old Time Pottery for a whole dollar .......the glass dome went with a cheese plate which was a thrift store find for another whole dollar! The cute little birdy came from Dollar Tree

A Weekend to Remember

This past weekend, Andy and I went to Family Life's Weekend to Remember Getaway in Tampa. We are so glad we took the time to go; it was definitely worth it! We would highly recommend it to anyone. Its a bit on the pricey side by the time you pay for a hotel, food, parking and retreat, but a good investment in your marriage! Just one of those things that helps to refuel your relationship with your spouse and your whole outlook on marriage in general. Besides, who would argue about having your spouse to yourself for a whole weekend?! Not I! Quality couple time can be a real challenge to achieve with two little ones in the house!
Waiting for a session to begin

The view from our room! We were on the 26th floor with a view of the bay. It was beautiful at night!

And of course; the weekend wouldn't be complete with out coffee!!!
Watching a cruise ship leave......wishing we were on it!
