News Flash!!!!

A preview of whats to come!

My little bump!!!

Yes this is major news for the Heintzelman/Downer clan; and also for all of our friends and extended family!

May 20th we plan to welcome a new little one into our home. We are both very excited to meet this new little person! We plan to wait until delivery to find out if its a boy or girl. Andy is hoping for a boy & i'm fine either way.

Christmas weekend was the weekend for us to spill our news. I knew I wouldn't be able to hide it from my mom, since she hadn't seen me in four months so at the airport I pulled out the ultrasound pictures and handed them to her in an envelope on the way to baggage claim. She had alredy been "checking" me out and thought i had gained some wieght! Needless to say, they were both extremely excited and of course, dad couldn't hold back the tears.

On Sunday morning we broke the news to Andy's family. Of course, some of them already wondered if I was!

Below are a few pictures to enjoy. The ultrasound picture is a little blurred since i tried to take a picture of it, but you can still see the head and little nose.

Happy New Year!

Andy's family dropped by on their way to summerfield to open gifts, then off to aunt Esther's place for a yummy christmas dinner and lots of fun!

Its so hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone! It seems the older I get, the faster time goes!

Here are just a few pictures of our day. Enjoy!!!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree....

For those who may be interested, I've posted just a few pictures of our Christmas decorations. I have yet to complete them. Trying to fluff garland and hang lights with a kitten and puppy around can prove to be quite a chore at times!

Thanksgiving Day

Hope everyones Thanksgiving was just what you expected! Our day was spent cooking, cleaning and getting ready for our guests to arrive. Dinner was set for 6pm due to some flying into Orlando in the afternoon.

By the time everyone arrived we had a whopping 14 people in our little house. Needless to say, we all got to know each other a little better! I had strongly hinted to Andy about how fun it would be to go ahead and get the christmas tree out and set up that morning, but he quickly imformed me I needed to wait til that evening. Its a good thing we did wait since the house was crowed enough let alone having a tree in the equation!

By the way, if anyone would like to stop by for a snack......we have tons of food left over! I think everyone must have left their appetites at home! I'm positive it wasn't my cooking!

Anyways, we all left the table stuffed to the gills and quite content. For my first thanksgiving dinner; i think it was a success. The talk soon turned to Black Friday! All of us shoppers know what that means.......sales, sales, sales and more sales! So much fun getting up at 3:30 - 4:00 to go stand in line! It has become sort of a tradition with my mom and I; provides an excellent time of bonding to stand in line huddled together trying to keep warm! This year I decided to stay home and bond with my warm bed instead. Yes.....I'm sure I missed some great deals, but then if you don't know what was on sale its not so bad after all!!!!
To all of you shoppers who braved the vulchers, hope you came away with everything you set out for!

The Lovely Elves!

Don't get jealous of their dancing skills. You could be just as good!

I thought this was too funny; especially at the expense of others. Yes, i know thats not very fair to the victims, but its still fun! Enjoy!!!!

Daisy Mae Heintzelman

Yes, we've again added another little one to the family.......this one being in the form of an adorable yellow lab. Andy has yearned for a little doggie to call his own for quite some time. He is now the the proud owner of a little girl! With a kitten and a puppy; its like having two kids in the house! Andy says its good practice for us, but i'm not so sure i was quite ready for that yet. That will come soon enough!! My only consolation is that it wont last forever......she will soon be a well trained doggy! Fingers crossed.

Christmas Cards......

Last night I attended a Stampin-Up workshop. We were given the materials need to make and assemble these cards. It was very enjoyable and made the itch to get my stuff back out even worse! I love to scrap, make cards, gift bags and anything else that involves adding your own personal touch. Since I've been married my priorities have changed a bit, therefore i haven't done much in that area for a while!
The only bad part about the workshop was, the layout was already set so we couldn't really personalize it a whole lot. Besides that it was a lot of fun!
Enjoy!

Computer Buddy

One of Shadow's moments of being an angel!

It seems Andy has found himself a new computer buddy! Shadow seems to think he needs to be in the same place as us at all times; including bed! When he's not busy trying to attack your feet, he is wanting to be in your lap. What a baby he's turning out to be! His new thing is climbing human legs. Does not feel the greatest and can be extremely hard on the clothing!

'Pickin -n-Grinnin'

A week ago we had some friends over for an evening of fun and of course, food! Any time these guys get together they have to pull out the fiddles, guitars, banjos etc. and have a jam session. They can be quite entertaining at times!

Official!

My dear hubby is now an official eletrician! He received his test scores in the mail last week and was thrilled to see that he had passed. He later found out that of the 22 people taking the test, only 4 of them passed. He was also pleased to hear that he had the highest score of those 4! Congratulations!!!!
He plans to take the test for his Masters in a couple years then, who knows what may happen!

By the way, disregard the second Official post. I hit the enter key too soon and i'm not sure how to delete it.

Official!

Still here!!!

For the few of you that take the time to check our blog; I'm sure it has proved to be very uneventful! When a trip to the library is the only way to enter a new post, it can be hard to keep up with it. I also have no way of uploading new pictures unless i have them on CD. So........maybe a card reader would be a really nice christmas gift!!!!!
Anyways, just wanted to check in and let everyone know we're still alive!

New addition to the family

Yes, as of monday we added a new member to our little family; and no......its not a baby!!!

I went to the flea-market on monday with the intention of looking for fresh produce, but instead came home with a cute little kitty! He is six weeks old, solid black and a little rascal.

Andy seems to have really taken a liking to him; so much that the little guy went to bed with him that night!!! I'm beginning to wonder where i fit in the picture now! Just kidding.

Fall!

This morning fall was in the air here in the the sunny state of Florida! The air was cool and crisp, birds singing their little hearts out and roosters crowing. Gone was the sticky muggy feeling, but not for long. By this afternoon the thermometer read 83 degrees. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. If anyone up north gets tired of the fall weather and would like to trade with me i would be more than happy!! Fall is one of my favoeite seasons and I'm missing it very much! So in the meantime i guess i will have to make do with decking my house in lots of fall decor and warm fuzzy candle scents. A poor substitute for the real things, but it helps. Anyways, enough of my complaining.

Help!!!!

I finally figured out how to change the background to something other than what blogspot offers! No offense, but in my opinion the backgrounds they offer are boring! I still have a slight problem though. I cant figure out how to keep my links when i add the new background. It tells me to confirm that they will be deleted, thus putting back to square 1(re-entering all of them). Very annoying to say the least. Since i know there are much more experienced bloggers out there than me; I am asking for any advise you could spare????!!
