Baby Shower!!!!

Last saturday Andy's family gave a shower for baby. It was a day filled with fun, games and good times! Baby came away with lots of goodies and some spare cash for any extra needs it may have. I have posted several pictures for your enjoyment.

Is baby starting its descent?!

The baby is definitely on its way to meet the world! The past week i have been feeling ever so slight changes taking place in baby's little world. Its so exciting to thing its arrival is not far off! Its daddy is starting to get pretty anxious to meet his new little offspring and so is its mama! My next appointment is this Thursday; so we'll see what the verdict is!


I just purchased this beautiful infant seat yesterday! I have been looking in every store for something i liked and also faithfully checking craigslist. Craigslist came through for me with this great deal. Its a Graco snugride with an extra base, very lightly used(looks brand-new) and the price was only $40.00!!! I consider that to be a more than fair price! Even better; when we got it home we checked to see if it would fit in the stroller we already had and guess what?! It fit perfect and even latched in! Needless to say, this made me one happy mama!

New Fence!

Saturday was devoted to putting up picket fence along the front of our property. It definitley does a lot to dress a place up! Needless to say, we still have ways to go before the project is complete. Hopefully we can get the rest put up and painted before too long. There's just something about white picket fence in front of a place. Gives it a homey feeling!

Update!

I left my doctor's visit yesterday with everything looking wonderful! My blood pressure was 110/60, baby's heartbeat was in the 140s and his/her head is down in good position to make its exit! Those are all things i like to to hear. So far i have been blessed with a problem-free pregnancy; thank the Lord! I pray it stays that way til baby is born. I asked the midwife what she thought the size of baby will be at birth and she thinks it will be around 8 lbs if i last til my due date. Her first comment was; "she is going to be beefy"! The whole visit she referred to baby as being a she, but don't get too excited; she has no idea what the sex is!

After my visit i met my sweet hubby for lunch then headed off for some shopping! I have been keeping my eyes open for a wooden highchair with a wooden tray(a plastic tray on a wooden highchair looks very tacky in my opinion). I was overjoyed when I found what I was looking for at Burlington Coat Factory. The price tag made it even more appealing to me! The manager saw me looking at the highchairs and pointed this one out to me. The original price was 179.99. Clearance sticker was 39.99! Needless to say i quickly told him i would take it. There is no pad for the chair, but they have several available for purchase.

Sorry mom! This picture is a week late, but you know me; not always very prompt with these things! I am 31 wks pg in this pic. Sure hope the wieght gain takes a break! I am steadily inching towards the 50 lb gain! Way too much in my opinion. Lets hope it wants to come off after the baby arrives!

Wow! Its way too long since i've had the chance to update this blog. Not having internet available at our house can be rough at times! A week ago, Andy and i helped my grandparents pack up to move back to Ohio. That was on a saturday and on Sunday my dad and uncle flew in to drive them back. They arrived at the airport around 5pm and were on the road for Ohio by 6pm! Talk about a quick hi and bye! I've posted a few pics for your enjoyment!
