Sneak peek!

I am in the process of giving my bedroom a makeover and my dear mother is getting rather "impatient" to see some results!!!! So......here are a few pictures to let you in on what i've been working on. Keep in mind, I am far from being finished; so what you see doesn't necessarily mean it will stay that way! I am hoping to make real progress by this weekend. We shall see! Enjoy!
By the way.......it never hurts to leave a comment! I'd love to hear what you think!

These candelabras were a freebie from a yard sale....a little spray paint and they are as good as new! They  now grace the top of my dresser

This is definitely lacking the finishing touches, but here it it anyways!  It started out as a plate holder, but i thought it would be cute holding picture frames instead! A little spray paint does wonders!

Still not sure what to do with the mirror yet....
One of my favorite accents.....found the pedestal in the clearance section at Old Time Pottery for a whole dollar .......the glass dome went with a cheese plate which was a thrift store find for another whole dollar! The cute little birdy came from Dollar Tree

A Weekend to Remember

This past weekend, Andy and I went to Family Life's Weekend to Remember Getaway in Tampa. We are so glad we took the time to go; it was definitely worth it! We would highly recommend it to anyone. Its a bit on the pricey side by the time you pay for a hotel, food, parking and retreat, but a good investment in your marriage! Just one of those things that helps to refuel your relationship with your spouse and your whole outlook on marriage in general. Besides, who would argue about having your spouse to yourself for a whole weekend?! Not I! Quality couple time can be a real challenge to achieve with two little ones in the house!
Waiting for a session to begin

The view from our room! We were on the 26th floor with a view of the bay. It was beautiful at night!

Sunset!
And of course; the weekend wouldn't be complete with out coffee!!!
Watching a cruise ship leave......wishing we were on it!

Homasassa Springs

This past weekend we decided to take advantage of free admission day at Homasassa Springs park. Boy, was it a hot one!! We still enjoyed ourselves, although we were more than ready to leave and find a cool place to eat!
I absolutely love these pictures of Chastity and her buddy Aunt Jenny

It waa the neatest thing to watch these fish jumping. They were constantly popping up all over the water

All tuckered out

Thought this was kinda cute!

This is the "warning" sign at the Hippo pond! Definitely don't want to be too close when he does his business! YUCK

Trash to Treasure!

This little lady hit the jackpot when "mamaw" found this treasure sitting at the curb for trash! She absolutely LOVES it! She must have her purse with her lip balm before she goes anywhere though! Below, she applies a layer before taking a "drive"!
And of course.....here is our very own treasures! A real cutie

Little ones

Chastity loves to have Caleb sit beside her so she can "read" to him! Its soooo cute to see! Here are a couple pictures from this mornings "story time".

This little guy is usually more than happy to share a grin! He's such a happy little man!

Family

We spent the weekend of the Fourth at Hobe Sound with friends and family. We really enjoyed our time away. I really wanted to get some pictures at the beach; this is the best we could do! It was extremely windy and Chastity was scared of the water! Here are a few of the best ones. Hopefully we can try again with better success later!

Birthday Girl

Our sweet little girl celebrated the big 2 last month! WOW! Time is flying. She is quite the talker, love to help mommy with anything and everything, is a wonderful big sister, loves to sing and pray and have tea parties with mommy. She is a lot of fun, but also a BIG handful at times. All in all, she is a good girl and mommy and daddy love her very much.

Cleanup time!
